"I started taking photography more seriously around 1999. up until then i enjoyed taking photos, but it was much more of a point and shoot method of recording. I am still very much a learner, but i reckon i always will be. It's been a gradual process, an exploration. I used to be happiest looking for landscape shots, and being very isolated in myself, working alone. I suppose with experience comes the confidence to attempt new challenges, so my latest work has included some concert portrait photography of a friends band. In between, there's been architecture, wildlife, abstract and macro...guess this means i've yet to find my niche. Until i do, then i'll just keep shooting and enjoying!

Over the years the equipment i have used has graduated through manual focus film slrs to autofocus and the latest digital slrs. I still dabble in the "Dark Arts" every now and again and I can be found in the darkroom, but most of the images you will find here are digital. The grey area that is digital manipulation will be a debate that will rage for many a year. Most, if not all of the images exhibited here will have some "enhancement" through photoshop, i try to keep any manipulation to a minimum and aim to follow through techniques that can be reflected in the traditional darkroom environment."
